It shines as one of the governorates of the Makkah Region, blending the charm of its coastal nature with the depth of its cultural heritage\u2014forming a harmonious geographic canvas where landscapes vary and natural resources flourish.<\/p>

Al-Lith is distinguished by its pristine beaches rich in biological diversity and its natural archipelagos of captivating beauty. Among the most notable are Jabal Al-Lith Island, Maramar Island, Jabal Al-Sarin Island, and the Ras Muhayzin Archipelago, in addition to several scattered islands deep in the Red Sea, which serve as ideal destinations for lovers of marine nature, diving, and exploration.<\/p>

The governorate also boasts numerous archaeological and tourist sites that tell stories from the history of the Arabian Peninsula. Among the most prominent are the ancient city of Al-Sarin, Al-Kushan Park, Al-Ain Al-Harra Park, Mount Awkah, Wadi Thahab, Wadi Alib, and Wadi Hali\u2014all of which attract visitors and researchers seeking diverse environmental and tourism experiences.<\/p>

Al-Lith is home to pioneering national projects, most notably the National Aquaculture Group (NAQUA), which contributes to strengthening the Kingdom\u2019s food security system through the production and supply of diverse Red Sea products, including shrimp, fish, sea cucumber, and various types of marine feed. These products serve both local markets and global demand across more than 32 countries worldwide.<\/p>

Located 180 kilometers south of Makkah, Al-Lith Governorate comprises 11 administrative centers: Al-Shaweq, Ghumayqah, Al-Ghalah, Al-Sa\u2019diyyah, Silaq, Bani Yazid, Hafir, Yalamlam, Al-Rahwah, Jidham, and Sa\u2019ya. It has a population of approximately 73,753 residents, forming a diverse social fabric that reflects the region\u2019s cultural richness and deep historical roots.<\/p>
